- Buying the wrong accessories for your vehicle
There are many different options on what you can buy for your vehicle when going offroading and therefore you need to be sure that what you are buying will be right for what you are doing and right for your vehicle. All vehicles have their own design and therefore the accessories to match also have their own design.
- Not sticking to your budget
Going over your budget is the worst thing as you would be owing more money and it could also not work the way you want it to.
- Buying everything you need from the start
There is no need to buy everything you need before you start or even have the vehicle as you could purchase something for your vehicle before you have it or even gone on your first and then when you go on your first offroading trip you could need something different or what you have doesn’t work right.
- Packing too much
If you pack too much you can overload and weigh down the vehicle as the vehicle is not up to the task. You need to ensure you are prepared but you need to ensure you don’t over pack, to ensure you stay within the weight constraints.
- Buying poor quality gear
A common mistake people make is buying cheap gear over quality. It is important to buy quality gear because if you get in trouble the last thing you want is to be left stranded because your recovery gear has broken while using it. This doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot of money.
